- Irish music from Scotland

"I recommend checking them out right now [...] They are going to go very far."
    – Bruce MacGregor, BBC Radio Scotland
Dallahan is one of the hottest new names on the Scottish folk music scene and play Irish music with a Scottish touch - and a sprinkling of Balkan music.
Dallahan are:
  • Jack Badcock - vocals and guitar
  • Ciaran Ryan - banjo, mandolin and fiddle
  • Jani Lang - fiddle
  • Andrew Waite - accordion
The members of the band met through local sessions in Edinburgh. They are established performers of various musical styles from classical and jazz to Balkan and Celtic, however their mutual love for Irish music brought them together in 2013 to create the unique sound that is Dallahan. They are all established musicians who have toured both the UK and abroad. Several of them have been awarded with various prizes for their musicianship.
Dallahan released an EP in December 2013 and their first full album, When the Day is on the Turn, was released in August 2014.  Their second album, Matter of Time, was released in April 2016.
