Dallahans første album, When the Day is on the Turn, udkom i august 2014. Albummet blev nomineret til Album of the Year ved Scots Trad Music Awards samme år.

"At their best, Dallahan sound thrillingly larger than any quartet have the right to do so (...) but they are confident too, to seek more intimate and plaintive sounds."
Billy Rough, Folk Radio UK
"...an alarmingly talented outfit and unfeasibly duct tape tight."
Mike Ainscoe, At the Barrier
"Should there ever be a prescription for inspired enjoyment then it would include the music of Dallahan, and their second album, 'Matter Of Time' would be a panacea for all ills."
Tim Carroll, FolkWords
"... the most exciting Irish music I’ve heard in a long time"
Paul Matheson, fRoots magazine
"Individually they are five supremely talented musicians, but together they do that magic thing of being more than just the sum of the parts"
Simon Holland, Folk Radio UK
"I recommend checking them out right now (...) They are going to go very far"
Bruce MacGregor, BBC Radio Scotland
"A powerful and convincing blend of Scottish, Irish and Balkan Folk music and contemporary music styles including jazz and pop is brewed by these five superb musicians (...) Dallahan's sound is unique, with sharp and catchy arrangements."
Michael Moll, FolkWorld
"They've got a really strong sound and they are making a lot of really good waves (...) they are absolutely terrific. (...) Wonderfully full sound and great vocals."
Mike Harding
